Victor grew up in a highly superstitous village. Ever since he was a young boy he's heard whispers about the undead and supernatural. This talk instilling fear in his impressionable mind, he followed the customs of his fellow villagers that are meant to ward off such evils. His paranoia subsided when he moved to the city to receive an education, but never completely disappeared.
