Just in case there's anyone in the area (western Mesa, University and Mesa Dr.) who'd want to come to a pool party / BBQ Sunday afternoon, come on by!

We have shade and a pool!

We'll have hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, various grilled veggies

Bring drinks (alcoholic or otherwise)!  Bring other snacks!  Bring more to grill if you want.

We'll probably be throwing people out at 9 PM since we're old and we work.

PM me or look for me on Telegram (@HaukeBasilisk) for the address!

This is the last show until September, and the MCC Planetarium is going out with their Pink Floyd show.  It's free but it's first come, first served and this particular show is likely to have long lines.  Their online reservation system apparently screwed up and has been taken offline until further notice.

If you want to go, let me know!  My office is right next door and getting tickets to some of the shows would be easy but only if I know who's gonna want to go in advance.

Send me a message here and I'll see what I can do.  If you're going to fend for yourself, my advice would be to get there early!

I wouldn't recommend coming in suits...it'll be hot outside, and inside everyone's going to be looking up.

The Planetarium on MCC's main campus (Southern and Dobson) has free shows on the first Friday of most months.  This month is a new show.

https://www.mesacc.edu/departments/physical-science/astronomy/planetarium/astronomy-nights has more information.

The tickets are first come, first serve, and often run out for the earlier shows.  But my office happens to be right in the next building...if I know you're coming, I can snag you some tickets and hopefully pass them on to you.

After I see the new show tomorrow I'm probably going to head over to Boulders Grill (site is http://www.bouldersonsouthern.com/) to just hang out and call it an early night--I'm usually out of there by 8:30 or 9.

Again, the planetarium shows are free.  They can fit 50 or so people in there at a time, and allow for people to reserve tickets online, but depending on the show it's hard to make any promises!

I wouldn't recommend a fursuit.  If you won't buy anything at Boulders, you can't sit with me.  :>
