Arizona Furs Support Black Lives Matter

The senseless acts of racism and violence that recently took the lives Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Dion Johnson, and George Floyd, and threatened Christian Cooper are abhorrent and wrong. We stand with Ahmaud, Breonna, George, Christian, Dion, their families, friends and communities, and call for an end to acts of racism, inequity, and social injustice.

Black lives matter. Period. While racism can look very different around the world, one thing that does not look different is that racism of any kind will not be tolerated here at Arizona Furs. The admin team here stands with Black Lives Matter. Time and time again, furries have proven that we will take a stand, we will fight injustice, and we will expunge hate. Let's take a stand together and make a difference.

How do I get involved?

BLMPHXMetro helps spread resources and awareness of the Black Lives Matter movement. Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro is an inclusive, abolitionist collective of community members on occupied Akimel O'odham and Pee Posh territory, also known as Phoenix, Arizona. They challenge police brutality and value all Black lives: queer and trans folks, disabled folks, undocumented folks, folks with records, women, and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. They center those who have been marginalized within Black liberation movements, and we rise in solidarity with all oppressed people.
